Circumstances may be outside of your control, but the way you respond to them is not.

Do you feel like the circumstances in your life are out of control? Do you find yourself in situations that are just the opposite of what was on your agenda? Are you frustrated that things are not turning out according to your plan?

Much of what happens in your life is beyond your control. Sometimes it is as insignificant as an unexpected change in the weather that ruins your weekend plans; other times it may be catastrophic, such as a terminal illness. You have no choice in these circumstances, but you can choose how you will respond to these situations.

Instead of being infuriated by your own inability to alter these events, be thankful that God is all-powerful and has control over all these thinks. He can either change the circumstances, or He can give you the strength to endure them.

I have learned the secret of living in every situation, whether it is with a full stomach or empty, with plenty or little. For I can do everything with that help of Christ who gives me the strength I need. PHILIPPIANS 4:12-13

There are times where motives aren't enough to make things work out right. I am sure that most people go into anything with good intentions, but the end of a thing is not always even or equal to where and how it began. I would be lying if I said that all things were going the way I had hoped at the beginning. But with that being said I am not sure that I would change the journey that got me here. I am glad to have gone through and be in tough times because I have learned from them and are learning from them.

I think that even the most content of us still have regrets and "shoulda, coulda, and woulda's".  I agree that often times things in our lives are out of our control, but think about this. How many things would have turned out worse than they did had my hands been the ones directing the outcome?  I think that at the core most of our issues and situations that we think were caused by "outter cirrcumstances" were actually the chain reaction by our previous choices.
